Sundarban Tour Package : The Sundarbans in Bangladesh is vast. Even just visiting all the major spots would take around 15 days. However, there are a few regular routes that are commonly used for trips.

Most Sundarban Tour Package start from Khulna. Besides Khulna, trips can also begin from Satkhira, Sharankhola in Bagerhat, and from Barguna using different routes. However, for couples, families, and corporate groups, organizing tours from Khulna is the most convenient. Typically, two main routes are used for 2-night 3-day trips from Khulna:

Route 1:

Khulna → Andharmanik Eco Tourism Center → Kotka (Tiger Hill, Tiger Point, Jamtola Sea Beach, Watchtower) → Kochikhali Wildlife Sanctuary → Dimer Char → Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center (Mini Zoo).

Route 2:

Khulna → Harbaria Eco Tourism Center → Kotka (Tiger Hill, Tiger Point, Jamtola Sea Beach, Watchtower) → Hiron Point (Neelkamal Sea Beach, Watchtower) → Dublar Char (Alorkol Beach, Dried Fish Village) → Karamjal Wildlife Breeding Center (Mini Zoo).
This route requires crossing the sea. It remains closed from mid-November to the first week of March due to rough sea conditions.

Additionally, depending on available time, one or two other forest stations can be added for hiking, or a few stops can be swapped. For customized trips, slight route changes are possible, such as visiting Tambulbunia Forest Station, Dhangmari Forest Station, Kokilmoni Forest Station, Shelar Char, Kalabogi Eco Tourism Center, or Shekher Tek (which has an ancient royal palace).

Other Routes

Route 3 (Eastern Side via Sharankhola or Barguna)

From Sharankhola or Barguna, the eastern part of the Sundarbans is explored. The tour begins from Sharankhola or Barguna and includes Supoti → Chandeshwar Forest Station → Bogi Forest Station → Tyarabeka Patrol Outpost → Alibandha Eco Park → Majher Char → Bihongo Island → Pakhi Char → Dimer Char. Then, after a 6+ km beach walk along the sea, you’ll reach Jamtola Beach in Kotka, then return.

Route 4 (Western Side via Satkhira):

The western side of the Sundarbans, bordering India, is accessed via Satkhira. Usually, this tour is done by wooden boat, as launches cannot operate on this route.
Route plan: Starting from Nildumur or Munshiganj in Shyamnagar, Satkhira → Dobaki Forest Station → Kagadobaki Forest Station → Bangabandhu Island → Putni Island → Mandarbaria Sea Beach → Koikhali → Kolagachia. This route also involves some sea crossing.

Pricing of Sundarban Tour Package

For families, the cost of a 2-night, 3-day package on

non-AC vessels ranges from 7,500 to 11,000 BDT per person.

On AC vessels, packages start from 13,000 to 22,000 BDT per person

depending on budget and facilities.

Tour Spots Covered

Note: After November 15, instead of Kochikhali and Dimer Char, the tour will include Hiron Point and Dublar Char.
Note: Spots may change or timing may vary depending on weather conditions.

Security

During the Sundarban Tour Package Armed forest guards from the Forest Department will be present at all times. In case of emergency or weather issues, continuous coordination is maintained with the Forest Department, Coast Guard, and Navy via VSF communication.

Tour Plan for a Sundarban Tour Package

Day 1:
- At 7:00 AM, the tour guide will meet you at Khulna Jailkhana Ghat.
- A powered trawler will take you to the ship, which will depart for Sundarban.
- Breakfast between 8:00–8:30 AM.
- Morning snacks at 11:00 AM, lunch by 2:00 PM.
- By 3:00 PM, reach Harbaria/Andharmanik Eco Tourism Center and explore the wildlife.
- After the visit, return to the ship, which will depart for Kotka.
- Evening snacks at 5:00 PM.
- Arrive at Kotka by around 11:00 PM and spend the night on the ship.
Day 2:
- Early morning (6:00 AM), take a local boat into small canals to experience the forest up close.
- Then walk ~3.25 km to Jamtola Sea Beach and enjoy the scenery.
- Return to Kotka Office area by 8:30 AM to see herds of spotted deer.
- Back on the ship by 9:30 AM for breakfast.
- The ship will already be heading toward Kochikhali.
- Lunch between 1:00–1:30 PM.
- By 2:00–2:30 PM, reach Kochikhali and explore for 1–1.5 hours.
- Depart for Dimer Char by 3:00–3:30 PM.
- Return to the ship by 5:00 PM for evening snacks.
- At 7:00–7:30 PM, the ship will leave for Karamjal.
- Dinner at 9:00 PM. End of Day 2 activities.
Day 3:
- The ship will reach Karamjal around 3:00 AM.
- After breakfast, by 9:00 AM, visit the crocodile and deer breeding center in Karamjal.
- Enjoy the monkey antics (but be cautious!). Explore the Karamjal trail.
- Return to the ship by 10:30–11:00 AM and head to Sea Pearl Sundarban Eco Resort.
- Enjoy fishing, bathing, and children’s rides there.
- Return to the ship between 2:00–2:30 PM and have lunch.
- The ship will depart for Khulna.
- Arrive in Khulna between 4:00–5:00 PM.
